Malina Korzeniowska, an S5 pupil at St Ambrose High School in Coatbridge, is a big fan of the MRP’s Summer School.

She got so much out of it last year, learning about facilities management, that she came back this year to find out about engineering.

“Attending the week-long Summer School was an incredible experience, especially since I’m dreaming of a future in engineering, possibly as a project manager.

What made it even better was that I had such a blast last year! The best part? Meeting awesome new people and making friends along the way.

The interactive tasks were also super engaging. Honestly, giving up those five afternoons was totally worth it. I learned so much, especially realising how many different types of engineering there are, meaning everyone can find their perfect fit.

The alarm systems and ventilation sessions were particularly fascinating. Last year, I was already leaning towards engineering, but this year I was determined to dive deeper and explore specific areas. Now, I’ve narrowed it down to mechanical and civil engineering.

I’d wholeheartedly recommend the MRP Summer School. It’s an amazing opportunity to discover different fields, connect with new people and step outside your usual social circle.”
