The East Airdrie Link Road (EALR) will provide access to the new hospital site at Wester Moffat and will be delivered by North Lanarkshire Council. The proposed Link Road is currently under development. The EALR will provide a two-way, single carriageway strategic link between the M8 at Newhouse and the A73 south of Cumbernauld, to the east of Airdrie.

The Monklands Replacement Project team and the council’s project team are working in close partnership to maximise the benefits of both projects.
