MRP Digital

Maureen McGinn
MRP Digital Lead

What we’ve done

Our digital colleagues are aiming to conclude the first phase of stakeholder engagement in the coming weeks with our colleagues in the North Lanarkshire Disability Forum (NLDF). The project team held several sessions with members of the NLDF to develop an accessibility questionnaire, which has now gone out to forum members. It gives them an insight into the project and an opportunity for them to have their say on what sort of digital technology would most benefit them.

What we've planned

The feedback received from the accessibility questionnaires will be collated and analysed before being implemented in any decision-making on the use of digital technologies at the new hospital site. Our aim is to ensure that our digital hospital is inclusive and incorporates the knowledge and experience of those living with a disability at the design stage of the project.

MRP Workforce

Helen Tomlinson

Julia Kis
MRP Workforce Project Manager

What we’ve done

We continue to work collaboratively with our professional leads to finalise workforce requirements for the Full Business Case, updating the workforce plan in line with emerging service redesign. The team has also introduced a “Star Chamber” process, designed to share a comprehensive overview of information gathered throughout the year with NHS Lanarkshire’s senior leaders.

What we've planned

A short-life working group will be established to further explore the creation of a ward co-ordinator role and understand the responsibilities of this post and the benefits it could bring. Information gathered will form part of ongoing conversations about new and emerging roles to support our workforce.

MRP Community Benefits

Lesley Aitken
MRP Community Benefits Engagement Lead

What we’ve done

The first MRP Community Benefits Newsletter has been issued. The workstream has begun 2025 with continued support for our young people by attending secondary school career events in Strathaven, East Kilbride and Cumbernauld, showcasing the careers available within NHS Lanarkshire and the MRP.

What we've planned

Planning is well underway for MRP Summer School 2025, which will take place in July. We continue to work with our construction partners, Laing O’Rourke, to deliver a full Community Benefits programme throughout this year.
