Snapshot Report
April 2025
MRP Digital

Maureen McGinn
MRP Digital Lead
What we’ve done
The refresh of the MRP Digital Strategy has been finished and submitted to the relevant project sub-group for comments/approval. We completed work with our health planners to develop workforce planning and resource models, and scheduled workshops, including stakeholder engagement, to finalise plans for a “digital twin” – a virtual model of the physical hospital building.

What we've planned
The digital strategy will be finalised and endorsed and we’ll continue to develop workforce models. We’ll also finish the digital twin requirements.
MRP Workforce

Julia Kis
MRP Workforce Project Manager
What we’ve done
Introduction of a specialist panel of senior colleagues to provide assurance that a robust procedure has been followed to identify staffing cost requirements. At the first meeting our workforce team provided an overview of the planning for review and discussion by the panel (Interim Chief Executive and directors of Finance, Medical, Acute services, Nursing and Human Resources). Subsequent meetings have taken place with the aim of making key decisions for the workforce section of the project’s Full Business Case.

What we've planned
Finalising work with our Property and Support Services and medical colleagues. Further progress with the review panel’s key decisions and additional updates to the workforce plan.
MRP Community Benefits

Lesley Aitken
MRP Community Benefits Engagement Lead
What we’ve done
Benefits are developed and implemented through the MRP team and construction partner Laing O’Rourke. Both continued work to refine and align the Community Benefits Implementation Plan to the project stages. There was activity to develop the network and links with stakeholders to assist the MRP Community Benefits Programme. We were at Laing O’Rourke’s latest Meet the Buyer Event for local businesses and a Developing the Young Workforce health careers event. We continued to develop work experience opportunities with project partners and education colleagues as well as linking with NHS Lanarkshire’s Employability Team.

What we've planned
Continued planning for Summer School 2025, for senior school students. Collaborating with Laing O’Lourke to develop Community Benefits opportunities that may require specific stakeholder communications, and linking with MRP Communications Co-ordination Group to ensure a joined-up approach.
MRP Communications

Fiona Cowan
MRP Clinical Lead
What we’ve done
We told the public and staff about two exciting developments – the launch of our Immersive Suite (a learning and engagement centre) and the start of groundworks at the Wester Moffat site. The media releases are in the News section of the MRP website for all to see and a digital newsletter was sent to stakeholders.

What we’ve got planned
We’ll be releasing eye-catching new design images of the hospital interior – look out for them on the MRP website and on the MRP and NHS Lanarkshire social media channels.
